- Mozilla 1.4b, "Gecko", now has F11 (function key) to hide task-tool bar.
Super, I like it!
Experiment with View - Show/Hide ( hide = un-check all ) then F11 Key.
My version displays only vertical scrollBar on right side of screen, when Hide & F11.
I truly like this browser because I am able to "eliminate" branding on my screen.
However, it is targeted toward developers, so therefore, no further explaination for how to use it in full screen. Try it, I think you'll like it.
It should soon become the browser of browsers, especially at about half the file size of MSIE & NS7, if & when the StartUp delay is reduced and it gains the ability to render DHTML screen changes on every vertical sweep of a CRT/monitor, and when Ctrl+o will open the navigation - bar/window while in F11 mode & hide.
-
NetScape v7.02 up "Gecko" now tests good!
Use "Mozilla" procedures in paragrah above. View - Show/Hide (hide = un-check all) then F11 Key.
Because NS6 retains a 31 pixel high bar across the top with a minimize of every thing possible, I choose not to recommend it for full screen viewing, since I refuse to use pop-up = new window, as many people surf with pop-ups turned off. Unable to eliminate "Branding".
If you insist on NS6 Gecko:
a. On Taskbar - Toolbar;
b. Click (select) View;
c. Click (select) Show/Hide and unCheckMark all of;
Navigation Toolbar - Personal Toolbar - Status Bar - Component Bar;
d. beside the word File, the small triangle (up arrow),
click (select) to change it to a down arrow,
you may at anyTime click (select) to return to View;
e. Alt + left arrow (on keyboard) to go back to previous page.
