While STEPPING OUT ON 4   with MALE RIGHT and FEMALE LEFT,
the opposite Male Left and Female Right PIVOT on the ball - toe of the foot.
How much pivot - turning depends on the skill of the dancers:   It is VARIABLE.
In this demonstration, (for beginners), a 45 degree increment is used.
Most people agree the BASIC TURN is started on Step 4,
and must be completed by the end of Step 6.
